This is a modern, purpose built gastropub situated among the new housing estates which have sprouted up around the recently re-opened Armadale railway station. It was mainly populated by families dining on the Friday evening I called in while waiting for a train. It was expensive compared to other pubs in the town, with a pint of Guinness costing £3.65. A large array of other draught beers and ciders was also available and, needless to say, there is an extensive and reasonably priced food menu. All in all, it's pretty typical of the thousands of other such pubs which have appeared around the country in the past couple of decades: pleasant and comfortable, but rather bland and predictable.
