Graham Coombs left this review about Blue Bell

A cosy-looking old pub on the edge of the village, handily placed for the children's playground opposite (for which drinks can be supplied in plastic cups!). The building itself has been tarted up a bit while retaining some original features, but with a kitchen added at the back and the right-hand bar converted into a restaurant. The landlord is an enthusiastic type, especially for his beers and whiskies. Two cask ales are offered, usually one from Tempest (in this case a superbly-kept Am I Amarillo) and a changing guest, which this time was Stewart Edinburgh Gold. Like the beers, food is kept to a fairly limited choice but is very good. Not quite as much of a drinkers pub as the Greys but nice enough.
