Ian Mapp left this review about The Pond Barn

An odd location - just off the beach but away from the road... they place signs on the roads directing you in.

We asked how long it had been a pub and the answer was "a long time" - so if it had been a barn conversion, it was a while ago.

Nowhere near as mental as the Shore Inn. It had a rough and ready front patio area with aging tables but pleasant enough. Inside, a little warren of rooms under a low roof.

A fantastic jukebox that offered 10 goes for £2. So easy to inflict your choice of music on the unsuspecting punters for the whole evening.

Beerwise, there were a couple of cask (Long Man Best Bitter was one) but I played safe with Staropramen in cermonial jugs.

I felt this was more relaxed and authentic experience than the busy Shore Inn.

What appears to be a barn conversion next to a pond a road behind Bracklesham Bay. Two ducks in the pond: Mr Mallard and his wife, appear to be decoys. Not much to this one. Drinking areas out front; a zig-zagged bar to the right on entry which offered Long Man Best Bitter (NBSS 2.5 and £2.30 a half) witha a second Long Man clip reversed
SALT Jute also available as a keg option. Some seating also available by the bar. To theft on entry was a birthday party, with people boogieing on a cleared 'dancefloor' area, if "Happy Birthday" by Stevie Wonder was any indication. I doubt anyone in here would have known the real meaning behind the song if it were spelled out for them. This might be more pleasant during the day, but you're better off getting a beer from Billy's on the Beach, which is actually on the beach.
