Blue Scrumpy left this review about The Old Castle
The only remaining pub in the village of Auchans, this pub is sat almost opposite the ruins of Dundonald Castle. It was very quiet on our Tuesday afternoon visit, with just the barman and one other customer sat at the bar. From the outside, it doesn't look particularly big, but the main lounge is fairly spacious and there appeared to be further rooms for dining.
The solitary real ale was Stewart Jack Back. There is a car park to the side of the pub.

A good sized village pub. Just up the road from the Dundonald Castle. The pub is very traditional inside with lots of dark wood. The place serves meals and has plenty of seating. Parking is available on the street at the pub.
