Alarge interwar pub that is far larger than anyone could make a living out of these days, and the pub aspect of whatever business is being run here seems to be confined to just one or possibly two rooms. No real ale, of course - I went for a Guinness, which is a bit more like a MILD than the Belhaven Best that the previous reviewer plumped for, but still not something I would expect much pleasure from. There are a few seats at the front, for watching traffic go by, and a "secret" garden at the rear. I didn't dare look for it. Obviously I was there at the wrong time of day, as they have live music and karaoke both Friday and Saturday evenings. Maybe I'll go back one day.

c1940s pub with patio area. Executed in a Georgian style, in plain brick. The interior has a couple of rooms, the smaller lounge was not used (only to access the bog!). The main bar is irregular in shape and has a couple of dart boards (either end) and a pool table. There was no music and only one of the TVs was on - with horse racing. Cream and chocolate decor, with no real pictures. Service was friendly and the clientele locals. No real ale, all tap stuff, so had Belhaven Best as it is sort of MILDish. Lacks the real ale for my personal taste, but friendly enough.
