Good looking corner pub. V shaped interior with some character - lots of exposed brick, the bar has a wood and tiled canopy and there are some nice countryside scene glass lanterns (almost Wild West?). Majors on pub grub and the Farmers Breakfast looked a straight road to a heart attack. Selection of papers. Live music and a Tuesday quiz advertised. Four pumps with Otter Bitter (a nasty appley-tasting half), Butcombe Gold and Old Rosie, with Dartmoor Jail clip turned. Desmond was at least happy and raving about the quality of the bubbles. Shame the beer wasn’t up to muster as this looked like a surprisingly decent place otherwise. 5.5
