Alan Winfield left this review about Bees Knees
The Bees Knees is Springheads brewery tap with the brewery being situated to the rear right of the pub.
There is no front door to this pub the entrance is to the right side.
Once inside the mian bar is square shaped, bare boarded with a carpet in the middle of the room, there is bench seating in the bay windows which face the bar, there is a seperate room to the front left which had normal tables and chairs plus a smarter lounge to the rear left.
With this pub being the Springhead brewery tap there was a good choice of their beers on the bar,i had a drink of Robin Hood which was a very nice well kept beer, the other Springhead beers were Maid Marrion,Ginger Pig,The Leveller and Roaring Meg.
Food is available.
There is a seperate bar on the Springhead site close to the Bees Knees called the Roaring Meg,but this bar only opens at weekends unlike the main bar.
We quite liked this pub,it was fairly busy mid Saturday afternoon with lots of bike riders.
