Three hand pumps, two offering GK IPA and one offering Old Golden Hen, which I had and very well kept it was too! Keg offering of SB (original and dark fruits), John Smiths, Carling, Moretti, Heineken AF, Guinness, San Miguel, Peroni and Thatchers Gold.
Large carvery type pub on the fringes of Cardiff Bay. Bar counter is an L shaped solid wood affair to the left of the entrance on a tiled area but otherwise the venue is carpeted throughout. There is a typical bar seating area to the left of the front door with regular tables and some banquettes against the left-hand wall either side of a fire grate with a wall mounted TV above. To the right of the entrance is a similar area as regards seating arrangements but where the tables are laid for diners. Along the right-hand wall and opposite the bar counter is a row of booth tables. Beyond that is the main restaurant area that looks like it is more exclusively used for dining, although saying that I was able to go an explore out the back absent any challenge. The carvery counter / self service area was on the left-hand wall beyond the bar counter and like the nearby Harvester visited this evening the venue was very busy with diners. There are some picnic style tables out the front with umbrellas but whilst that would have been an attractive proposition yesterday it was a rather cold and wet evening today to be outside.
