Blue Scrumpy left this review about Carpenters Arms
A popular, traditional village pub with a bar to the left and a larger restaurant to the right. The bar has a slate floor and exposed stone walls. There are hops above the bar. Background blues music was playing and a wifi code is available. Tables on the outdoor terrace to the front of the pub were particularly popular, until there was a quick, sharp shower.
The bar has 4 handpulls but just 2 were clipped for my visit, with Firebrand Shipwreck Coast & Dartmoor Legend on cask. Craft beers were Heathen's Soul The Raven, Meantime Anytime Pale & Firebrand Thundercloud. Keg ciders were Sandford Orchards Devon Red & South Hams Devon Gold. I tried the latter, which was quite nice.
A decent village pub.

Splendid stone-built village pub. Aged bar to the left, with beams and slate floor, and a slightly-tidier dining area to the right. Tribute and Doombar beers, with occasional guest.
