Cellar Bar @ Bridge House Hotel, Bridport

While the Cellar Bar is closed, the hotel now has its non-residents' bar in the garden area, a bar called The Potting Shed. The bar counter is in a shed at the end of the garden, next to a food servery which appears to be run as a separate business, although when we visited this wasn't in operation; food appeared to come from the main hotel. There is a car prk at the side. The garden is in two parts, one gravelled, which appears to be the main bar area, and a smaller, more intimate, lawned garden to the side. There is no real ale on offer, though there was South West Orchards's 'craft cider' on tap. Also available were Cruzcampo, Grand Central IPA and Adnams Portland, plus a selection of bottles. Service was incredibly slow, as the young barmaid couldn't work out how to pour drinks, and the elderly barmaid couldn't work the till. Probably fine if you're staying here, but the opening hours are restricted and it's not a great bet in bad weather.
