Probably the least pub-like gay bar imaginable, this is more of a party venue for a limited demographic than a bar as such, although they do allow random people to drop in for a quick one. Drink, I mean. No real ale, no decent wine, just a rack of spirits and what one might once have termed ‘alcopops’. It was loud, out and proud, but there was still a somewhat sinister overtone making us feel unwelcome – so much for inclusivity. The business itself has occupied several adjacent premises including another former nightclub next door and appears to be doing well. Each to his – or her – own I guess, but I don’t see my coming here again.
