Excellent new micropub with five hand pumps on the bar, offering beers from five different breweries at the time of our visit. Plenty of choice style-wise, and the beers were sourced from all around the country: Bays (Devon), Fuzzy Duck (Poulton-le-Fylde), Peerless (Wirral), Arbor (Bristol) and Saltaire (just down the road at Saltaire); next on was due to be Coniston Old Man from the Lake District. The lass behind the bar is very friendly and chatty: I asked her to confirm that the door opposite the bar was to the toilet (it was), and apparently she was able to talk about it to whoever was listening until I re-emerged! For beer quality and atmosphere, definitely one to revisit.

Single room micro pub with the counter in a back corner and a few (4) tables to the front. The five pulls usually serve a blonde, a pale, a bitter, a "quirky" and a dark going left to right across the pumps, and are in cracking condition. The stillage is in glass cabinets behind the counter along with a selection of German & Belgian bottles and some wines and ciders. Pump clips on the wall opposite show coming next rather than what's gone. Trendy grey paint job and some bench seating at the front , in other words a classic micro pub - go there!
