The best beer range in Skipton? Probably. We were only in Skipton for 2 nights and called in here 3 times. A micropub that has been extended into the premises next door. The bar is straight ahead as you enter. There's a further room to the right (the extension) with more tables and seating. It's very cosy in the original bit, so you pretty much have to chat to people. Very friendly, both staff and customers. Lots of dogs in on all our visits. Tried everything on the bar during our stay in Skipton and all the beers were in very good nick. Can't see us coming to Skipton again without calling in here.

A micro with an extension - running into two former shop spaces, I would estimate. Single front door.
Quality beer by knowledgeable staff - a Thornbridge Tap Takeover was on - and Jaipur on Cask is a joy to behold.
Plenty of other choice from this brewery - so could have stayed all night. Saving me from myself, they had run out of Necessary Evil on Keg :-)
Top micro.

Now reopened, refurbished and extended into the next door building to the right probably doubling the floor and seating area. The counter remains in the largely unchanged original section but there’s much more seating and relocated toilets in the new part. Beige paint job and old photos of Skipton as décor.

Very few changes since lockdown, the counter is still rear right with seating both sides off the front area and a few to the left opposite the counter where the sliding door to the toilet allows. Six pulls with beers from Oakham, Kirkstall, Thornbridge, and Goose Eye; the sixth pull advertises the guest keg - a pineapple IPA co-lab between Tiny Rebel and Polly’s (whom so ever they may be), this time. Brewery ads, pub merch’, and brewing process posters, alongside a neat cask Ales “hymn board” and brewery ephemera on a shelf form the decor. T&G is now dark blue below and light blue above - not bloody grey! Beers still in the glass cupboard style cellar and there’s a fridge of cans and wines.

A good little micropub. The bar is at the rear of the small room and a good choice of beer styles were available. A friendly place and busy on my Saturday afternoon visit.

This is a proper micropub with no TVs or muzak. It's a small room with a laminate floor and a small bar at the far rear. Apart from a couple of bar stools the seating is low although obviously the wall benches are high enough to allow casks to be stored under them. There is some bric-a-brac around the place but no collection of pump clips apart from an ancient Courage Best one I spotted high up on a shelf.
It was already open on my Saturday morning visit with a few locals and ironically a group of visitors from Middlesborough where the micropubs are rather different to this.
Beers from the five hand pumps were Great Heck Patrick, Rooster's Yankee, RAT Golden Rat, Daleside Bitter and Navigation Saviour IPA. I went for the Yankee (£3.10) and Saviour (£3.50) both of which were excellent.
Overall I thought this was another very good micropub.

Fine small pub which had 5 real ales including Peerless Knee Buckler IPA @ 5.2% ABV. Worth a revisit.

Lovely little micropub near the canal basin in Skipton. Really friendly. Five ales on, but only had time to sample one, a lovely pint of Fat Cat Meow Mild.
I wish I'd had time to try more, but Mrs Staal and dinner were waiting. I'd love to come back.

We arrived here early doors, where we found a couple of locals in for a pint. So it wasn't long until we were all having a good chat and a laugh, barman included. We tried three of their ales out of the four on handpump. These were Saltaire Elderflower, Waen Brewery Hanging Rock and XT3. This is a small and compact micro, which had a grey painted interior, a small compact bar, with a couple of barstools and some bench seating and tables near the front. Agree with Will, this is a must when in Skipton.
