More a restaurant than a bar but they do about 8 keg beers but unfortunately the keg pumps were not working so I had 2 filthy warm ciders.

E TA left this review about The Stable
This iteration of the Stable chain is housed on the top floor of an old dockside warehouse which also houses the Harbormaster's office and facilities. It is a single floor-boarded room bar with bare brick walls benches and tables laid out in neat little rows like a monks' refectory, complete with candles. That is where the monastic image ends, though. The music is intolerably loud, the clientele were mostly loud people who 'whooped' a lot. The male staff had matching beards and tattoos, which made them look like a platoon of mining dwarves from a Terry Pratchett novel, although the female staff were much easier on the eye and quite friendly. The food is good, as it is throughout the Stable stable, imaginative, well cooked and using good ingredients. There were 12 ciders on gravity, plus a cider and an ale on handpump. The usual megakeg offerings were also available along with a basic wine stock. I had West Milton Dry cider which was in excellent condition. Worth dropping in for a meal or including on a crawl, but the noise makes it difficult to want to stay too long.
