Real Ale Ray left this review about The Wheel Alehouse
Probably the largest micropub in the Thanet area. The interior had an obvious nautical theme, but I found the furniture and colour scheme to be drab and the upstairs lounge was even more hideous, which had a collection of 1980's cane chairs, which looked only fit for a skip, or it was found in one. The owner was mannerly, but didn't really seem interested in engaging with us, so not overly welcoming to non locals. Four ales, Mighty Oak Mudlarking, Strathaven Claverhouse Red, Malt Brewery Voyage and IVA Boson's Best. We went for the Mighty Oak and the Malt Brewery Voyage, both were priced at £3.30 a pint.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Wheel Alehouse
Shop-conversion alehouse with the expected nautical theme, enhanced by some amusing fishing banter between the locals (and some of which may even be true!). Mix of basic furniture, including a few pews and some tall chairs set around large barrels, and plenty of memorabilia. Also has a rather bare upstairs lounge of a similar size. Up to five real ales on gravity from a small tap room behind the tiny counter, with an interesting choice of four in a range of styles on my visit: IVA Bosun Best (bitter), Fuzzy Duck Cunning Stunt (blonde), Grafton Can Cam (amber) and Isla Vale Short 'n' Stout (£3.00). Also has three ciders on offer. Well worth seeking out.
