In the scruffy end of town and doesn't look much from outside; indeed when a guy emerged sporting facial tattoos with a fag on the go I did wonder whether the GBG was taking the michael. Small entrance porch, take your pick which door you take! There are two discrete rooms separated by the bar which seems to span two properties (it does as well, this used to be two entirely separate pubs). Six Nations on the telly on left, in a fairly light and modern room. To the right is an old boys lounge in a traditional style - exposed stone walls with a whiff of old tobacco and the home nations flags pinned to the ceiling. Three ales; a pair of Sharps in Doom Bar, Sea Fury (NBSS 4) and O'Hanlons Yellow Hammer (4). Two excellent pints of cask mark this out as being well-worth a visit in town.
