Blue Scrumpy left this review about Carew Inn
The Carew Inn is situated just opposite a roadside Celtic Cross and also opposite Carew Castle, the big local tourist site. As such, I'm sure it gets a lot of visitors who have visited or are about to visit the Castle.
There is a tiny public bar which I'm guessing has only just re-opened following Covid restrictions. There may also have been a dining area, but we were ushered away from the pub's side entrance and through a gate on the roadside, where we could access the bar.
The bar itself is very traditional and full of character. Sharp's Doom Bar is the regular beer here. I chose the guest beer, which was Tenby Harbwr Sea Bass. This was another local beer that I'm glad I tried, but wasn't really to my taste.
Nevertheless, this is a pub I enjoyed visiting and whilst the Castle had already closed when we arrived, we did return the following day to visit it. I recommend combining the two.
