A curious one that looks more like a large holiday home that's been turned into a pub. It occupies a decent plot with good-sized beer garden and car park; the former enjoys a break in the trees which offers a view overlooking the bay. There's a small, boxy L-shaped bar in the middle of the room, with a narrow dining bit to the bar's left. A conservatory bit opposite the bar has a few more dining tables and there's an odd fireplace stack bit in the middle of the room with a random large table surrounded by six seats (not laid out for dining and rather exposed to the rest of the room). An empty fishtank separates this and the conservatory. Two ales at the jump: Wainwright's and Coles Llanddarog, which was a sweet, malty bitter at a reasonable £3.80 and which went down well after a yomp up a steep hill from the nearby holiday park. This is predominantly in the foodie camp (albeit pub grub), but there were a few having a pint or two in the beer garden on what had been a lovely, hot August Bank Holiday Monday day.
