The Rose and Crown was a decent enough looking stand alone pub that was situated in a once very heavily pubbed area.
Once inside the pub had two seperate rooms,there was a smallish smart looking lounge which was empty on my dinner visit,the bar was a decent enough room to have a drink in,it was fairly basic but in a nice way.
The pub was an Hansons tied house,there were two real ales on the bar,i had a drink of Hansons Mild which was a really nice drink,the other beer was Hansons bitter.
This was a proper pub with no frills.
There is now housing on its site,what a shame.
