CLOSED pub on the outskirts of Offerton and is one of Stockport's oldest pubs.The pub first opened in 1786 and listed as a building of significant local, historical and architectural interest.The pub has a colourful past including breeding pigeons for eating and tales of a ghost of a man who hanged himself in the 1930's.The pub closed in January 2010 after having 4 Licensees in the previous year.The place is now an Indian Restaurant called The Spice Tower.
