the pub has been under new management since April 2014, both the lounge and the vault have undergone a revamp, there are now bright fun curtains, new picture, flowers and newly painted toilets.
there is a large car park to the rear, to reach this you turn left after the pub, before the hoardings and go round the back
there is a beer garden and childrens play area

The Victoria is a 2 roomed main road pub that dates back to around the 1840's.On entry there is a Vault to the left of the main entrance and a Lounge to the right with both rooms being catered for by a central rectangular bar. At the rear there is an outside drinking area along with a children's play area. When I entered the Lounge bar I observed the majority of locals drinking cans of lager(Never a good sign 1)but undaunted by this ordered a pint of the relaable hobgoblin. On receiving my pint the Landlady uttered the fatal words "Just have a taste first"(Never a good sign 2)However when I returned the pint, the barrel was changed and everything was back on track.
In general I thought the pub was ok,it was clean and bright and think I must have arrived at a bad time.
If you arrive by car there is a spacious car park at the rear that apparently is a bit of a challenge to find.

The Victoria is a decent looking mid terraced pub that was painted white outside, the pub looked quite nice from the outside.
Once inside there was a very smart bar, where i had a drink, this room had comfortable bench seating and small stools, there was a seperate lounge which i did'nt look in.
At the time of my visit the pub was a Greenalls tied house, there were two real ales on the bar,i had a drink of Greenalls mild which was a decent enough drink, the other beer was Greenall bitter.
I quite liked this pub.
