The Bowling Green was a John Smiths tied house that was situated outside Newark North Gate Station.
Once inside the pub was quite plush and carpeted with comfy bench seating,the pub was a John Smiths tied house with no real ales on the bar,i had a drink of keg John Smiths bitter which was fizzy.
The pub had a bit of a gay reputation,but it was almost empty on my Tuesday dinner visit.
