Alan Winfield left this review about The Butchers Bar
The Butchers Bar is situated next door to the Prince of Wales.
Once inside there was a small oblong shaped room with the bar on the right side, there was some uncomfortable perch type seating opposite the bar, this seating was at an angle so you could'nt sit on it,just lean against it,there was a small raised area to the front, this area had a few stools, there was a small area to the rear which had stools facing a wall mirror.
There were no real ales on the bar,i had a drink of keg Stones bitter which was very cold, the other beer was Worthington.
The bar was quite busy on my early morning visit with blokes in their 40s.
There was some decent background music playing.
This is'nt the sort of bar to take your mother to.
The bar opens at 7 in the morning everyday,i did'nt see any signs of food being available, so i presume you can have drink here very early in the morning.
