Village pub that is a little off the beaten track, but well worth a visit. We had followed a police car down the main road before turning off into the village. Lo and behold, shortly after arriving, the police car approached the pub from the opposite direction and pulled onto the car park which is practically an area of wasteland opposite the pub. The 2 police officers said hello to us as they continued into the pub itself. Apparently they were searching for a woman. Luckily, it wasn't my wife!
The pub has a couple of long, narrow rooms with plenty of tables. The main part of the bar is in the room to the left. However, there is a smaller section of the bar in the other room. There is a small patio area to the front, where one local was enjoying the sunshine.
Regular beers here are Woodforde's Wherry, Sharp's Doom Bar & Greene King Abbot. A guest beer was Greene King Hopping Special. My Hopping Glory was fairly decent for a Greene King beer.

Village locals' pub tucked away by a green and not obvious from the main road. Not an eating place, for a change, but offering a changing selection of beers. A good, traditional feel.
