Soup Dragon left this review about Copper Penny
A detached modern marston's food pub, with beer garden and kid's play area, located within a retail park. It is in a multitude of colours - i half expected George, Bungle and Zippy to meet me at the door. The room is a soulless L-shape, with fake fires. Mirrors, twigs, arty sculture, mixed art, with a few old photos passes for interest, so we are told. The same art and the generic colour schemes; greens, reds, patterned wallpaper etc make these places carbon copies - heaven forbid that we could handle individuality. It has a kid's corner and of course, is designed for food - which is why we went (as it is near the football ground). The food was fine, as was the service - very friendly. The place was busy with diners. Beer; usual tap stuff with Peroni. on handpull there was Hobgoblin and a Pedigree that was too cold and fizzy. A supermarket.
