Despite being a Hotel Bar in essence it is actually the nicest pub setting in Nailsworth being sited in an old mill steeped with an old water wheel and cogs inside.

The garden is what adds to the historic nature of the inside of the building with ducks and moorhens paddling about in the Nailsworth Stream pond prior to where the millrace would power the old wheel.
