This is named after the Heroine from Westward Ho!, a popular book by Charles Kingsley and I've never heard of any of them.
It's another shop conversion consisting of a wide rectangular room that seemed rather dark. The bar is to the right and the rear area is all low seating. There are some rather odd lampshades shaped like a narrow bell or a witches hat.
On a Wednesday afternoon in April there was plenty of space.
the bar has ten hand pumps which had the JDW Trio Of Doom with Abbot & Doom Bore doubled, Country Life Black Boar doubled, a cider, Bays Trunk Ale and Hunters Pheasant Plucker. I went for the Black Boar (£2.29) which was in good nick.
Apart from being rather dark I thought this JDW was OK.
