Will Larter left this review about The Forest Lodge Hotel
This hotel seems to extend over three or four original buildings, occupying a fair chunk of the roadside just before the crossroads in the centre of the village. The pub itself appears to be food-led, but nevertheless features five real ales on the bar and plenty of places for drinkers to ensconce themselves. Compared with the other extant pubs in the village, this is different class in terms of furnishing, layout and clientele, though the latter were perhaps at the posh end of the spectrum as far as we were concerned. Beer prices were perhaps a little above average for the area at £3.30 a pint, but nothing to complain about. The beers were pretty much mainstream: York Guzzler, Wells Bombardier, Hook Norton Old Hooky plus one each from Welbeck Abbey and Okells being the only slight surprises. We enjoyed our visit and would certainly come here again if staying in Edwinstowe.
