The Miltons Head is billed as a Pub and Restaurant, although in essence it is more of an Italian restaurant than a traditional pub and is situated opposite John Milton's Cottage.
There is a small bar area and then a much larger dining section and the whole place has that usual sterile modern Gastro minimalist decor.
But there is a nice small external patio area out back which has a few round bench tables underneath umbrellas, which is a nice spot for an outside beer.
Unfortunately on that front the owners get their beer from GK and although the bar has a couple of historical traditional hand pumps, the only one dispensing ale nowadays is one of those ghastly GK North / South chrome IPA dispensers.
If you like Italian food , worth trying this place out as a restaurant as it rates quite highly with locals on trip advisor.
If you like real ale, then I cannot recommend walking up the Deanway from the three traditional pubs around the Green in the village centre.
