In the left-hand side of the Dealers Arms is a small tile floored bar with some brown banquettes in the wedge at the front and a serving counter up the right that faces the pub’s side entrance. The television was airing Deal or No Deal which was being watched by the polite barman and his friends/family who were sat on these banquettes. At the rear is a carpeted seating area with green banquettes that are laid around the walls in an L-shape. The larger bare boarded right hand bar has panelled and tiled walls throughout and at the rear are a couple of high tables on some carpet. Along the front window is a dart oche for the dartboard on the left-hand wall at the end of the serving counter that supports standard keg alongside Birra Moretti and Cruzcampo. Deal or No Deal on the television in this bar was muted in favour of some background music. I’ve been in worse pubs, but the lack of cask ale will put some off.

Another of Camra's historic pub interiors of some regional importance, and my third of the day. Like the Swan (my previous visit) there was no real ale on here, the Doom Bar having finally turned (as discovered by the previous customer) and a replacement not yet ready to go on. I settled for a Martell brandy and spent a pleasant enough few minutes chatting with the other customer and the woman who served us. As pointed out in Camra's description, "the character of the interior has been much altered by the liberal use of pastel paint", but it's a nice enough pub.

now been comprehensively refurbished and is clean, disinfected, has working lightbulbs, fresh air and decent seats. The beer’s still crap though.

If this pub was cleaned, disinfected, had working lightbulbs, better beer, had air fresheners and decent seats it might be ok. But I doubt it.
