Strongers . left this review about George & Dragon

The George & Dragon is a single rectangular wooden floored room with a U-shaped bar on the rear wall that looks like it’s made of grey laminate flooring that matches the upholstery. Opposite the counter under the windows across the front wall are some tables and chairs and to the left banquettes run across the front and rear walls. On the left-hand wall is a fireplace that had a DJ booth sat in front of it. During a recent midweek visit the down-to-earth locals were avidly playing along with Deal or No Deal, it’s not just a game of chance you know. Standard keg was available and the lone hand pump stood unused. This is a very basic boozer with little going for it.

The George and Dragon is a large looking pub that is in the middle of Longton.
Once inside there was one very large room with a long bar facing, the floor was bare boarded and the seating was mainly normal tables and chairs, there was a TV on showing football, not sure what it was as it was a bit bleary at the end of a long pub crawl.
There were no real ales on the bar,the keg bitter was John Smiths smooth crap, which it was.
The pub almost empty on my early evening visit.
There was nothing special about this pub.
