Bucking Fastard left this review about The Huntsman Inn
An old building in the lower part of the village and close to the brook ,the thatched roof is attractive.Internally there are lots of low beams,a large stone fireplace but just an electic faux woodburner, the bar to the left and generally dining type tables elsewhere apart from sofas infront of the fireplace.Decorations are very traditional and although the primary focus will be food, only reserved tables are out of bounds to drinkers and there were a few drinkers inside. There is a small courtyard by the entrance if you want to drink outside.
The welcome was friendly and on my visit the ale choice was Exeter Lighterman and Avocet (NBSS Very Good).I enjoyed my well conditioned pint and would pop in here on my way to the Poacher to see what's on.
