Part of the Lympsham Premier Inn complex, this new-build pub is largely aimed at the diner. The food is the standard mass-produced formulaic slop beloved of large families on holiday. There is plenty of parking, though people without a blue badge are discriminated against as you need one to park near the pub part. The bar area is quite large, but it's badly laid out and inefficient, divided as it is into zones by badly constructed shelving adorned with the usual boot-fair fodder. The business is very much focused on dining families, and those of us who just wanted a pint were looked down on. The staff were not that welcoming, though as they were mostly young hired help, this came as no surprise. The muzak was particularly irritating. Four handpumps on the bar, two with reversed clips, one with Doombar and one Pedigree. The beer, like everything else about the pub, was dull and uninspiring. It all felt very artificial, and I don't see my returning in a hurry, though it's probably fine for a pitstop.
