Strongers . left this review about The Townhouse
Townhouse is a hotel and restaurant with a small square bar area to the left of the entrance where banquette seating and tables and chairs are found. Breakspear Bitter and Ringwood’s Forty-Niner were available from the two hand pumps and there was a limited premium keg range alongside Carlsberg and Guinness. This is very much a hotel bar so it wasn’t surprising to see a piano and advertised singer. I’m not sure why anyone would drink here unless staying at the hotel.

Smart place with a few tables out front. We had a decent pint of Ringwood 49er.

Real Ale Ray left this review about The Church Street Townhouse
Once through the doors on your immediate right there was a small room set out for dining, which also had a stainless steel hatch or food servery from the kitchen. The other side of the pub had the main bar, which had one handpump serving up Old Hooky. There was an upright piano situated along the window wall, which is played of an evening between 5.30 - 9.30, by the pupils from the local King Edward VI school. We were informed that the pupils do get paid a gratuity for their time.
