The covered front seating outside Jam Street had a few customers, but the bar itself was empty apart from my good self, the barmaid and her friend. This is a small bar with a couple of tables and sofas in the front and a bar on the left mid wall that faces the top of a flight of stairs. More seating and a piano at the rear are overlooked by a television that was off whilst some background music played. Down the stairs is a small area with a pool table, retro game table and another couple of sofas. The toilets are also down in the space that didn’t look very comfortable. Regular open mic and comedy nights are advertised.
The bar supports premium keg alongside Carling and there are three handpumps. One was unused which left RedWillow Brewery’s Weight Less and Head Less as the cask options. I found the service to be polite, but this place was all a bit too studenty for my liking.

ROB Camra left this review about Jam Street Cafe
This really is a cafe, with cafe style seating and menus but with 2 handpumps on the bar. I called in on a Friday afternoon at about 5:30 but the one person serving was far too busy cooking food to serve beer. "I'll be with you in a few minutes he said", "No you won't, because I won't be here" I said as I left. This is the trouble with this type of place, if they're cooking for a table of 4 they can't serve beer at the same time. De Nada gets the balance right, this place doesn't.
