Quinno _ left this review about The Railway Inn

Flying the stereotype flag for pubs of this moniker throughout the UK, this is a locals redoubt that ticks all the boxes; a down-at-heel air, a single dreadful ale and a loud TV competing with awful piped music…but yet somehow is inexplicably popular. Burgundy and cream interior with a lisping Limahl impersonator behind the bar. Three pumps with just a dire Doom Bar on which I dumped. Awful. 2.5

Scooby Doo left this review about The Railway Inn

Dawlish is a beautiful picturesque place that I have visited for many years. The Railway Inn has recently changed hands and has had an overhaul. The owner is warm, friendly and welcoming. The home cooked food is delicious and plentiful and also cheap. The rooms are comfortable, clean and offer basic washing facilities, tea making facilities and TV. I like the fact that the whole family, children and dog could stay. The Inn is old and quirky and has a pool table, darts board and cash machine! The beach is very close with nice sand and a clean sea. The local shops have plenty of range and the train, bus and taxi are also close. The warren is a short walk along the beach to a nature reserve and another long sandy beach. Very Enjoyable
