Will Larter left this review about The Barley Mow
Lovely old stone building, and it's hard to see how old some of the timber pillars, beams, frames, stairs and floorboards are. Not very would be my guess. I'm not impressed with the cowskins on every seat, even if they're fake. Probably an upmarket pub, to judge by the accents of the customers and the price of the beers. In the villages along the main road it's £3.50 to £4.20 a pint, here I paid £2.70 for a half that was poured 20% light - though topped up when I asked - and turned out to be the least good beer of the evening. (Settle Hoffman Gold 4.1%, NBSS 2.5).
