Mitchell's consists of two bars, one airside and one landside. It's a typical airport beer outlet, no real ale, snack food and high price. But the seating is comfortable, the airside bar makes up for the lack of a business class lounge, there is free wifi and you get a view of the runway. Landside, it's the only convenient bar in the immediate vicinity, so it's it's a good place to sit and wait if you're collecting someone, or for a quick drink before getting on the train, and there's the added benefit of a garden, unusual for an airport. Nothing special in the grand scheme of things, but it does make flying from Southampton a bit more bearable.
