Nice outdoor yard at the front with its own bar, stairs inside lead to main pub. Seaside feel for tourists and basic food menu but nice and the real ale is good

The George and Dragon has a large paved outside seating area with four jumbrellas that cover some of the tables. To the left of the entrance is an outside bar that supports two handpumps that were drawing Hanlon’s Yellow Hammer and Exeter Brewery’s Ferryman. A limited range of premium keg was also available. Inside there is a flight of stairs that leads up to a ‘please wait to be seated sign’. My visit was on a recent sunny Thursday afternoon when the inside of the pub seemed to be off limits, so in effect this pub was actually an outside bar. The service was friendly, but I like to have the option of drinking inside.

Nice pub in the harbour couple of real ales and a nice court yard.
