A small hotel with a laid-back feel. There is a tastefully-furnished lounge-type bar, mainly laid up for diners but with Grainstore BBB on handpump.

Impressive old building from the outside. Two rooms inside, a tired lounge to the left and a sterile pine modern room to the right. Just one ale, Grainstore Triple B, which was warm and pump tired. Kudos to the black lad behind the bar who was the cheeriest soul you could wish to meet. We stayed here and the rooms were nice, though that doesn’t affect my score for the place as a pub.

Alan Winfield left this review about Brook Whipper Inn Hotel
The Whipper-In Hotel is a decent looking pub that is situated on Oakhams small market place.
Once inside there was one long room which ran the width of the pub,the left side had a beamed ceiling and was carpeted, the seating was mainly settees with cushions, the right side was down a couple of steps, this area looked more modern with bare pine boards and tables and chairs, these were laid out for diners.
There was one real ale on the bar which was Grainstore Triple B,this was a very nice drink.
There were a few older women having coffees and we were thee only drinkers, the pub was far too quiet for my liking.
This is not really the sort of pub i like to drink in.

This 17th century coaching house has a lot of original features, ancient oak beams and real log fires. Two Oakham Grainstore ales served, I went for the Triple B. Also serves food.
