Blue Scrumpy left this review about Whistle & Flute
This is the only remaining pub in the village of Barnetby-le-Wold. However, the village does have its own railway station and the pub is situated in the railway car park.
There are two distinct rooms. A public bar was packed, with little evidence of social distancing. Live sports are shown on the TV. I retreated to the lounge/dining room, which is much more cosy and split over two levels. Food looked tempting. But it wasn't quite time for them to start serving dinner.
At the side of the pub is an outdoor drinking area, which was busy with a group of bikers present.
I'm a little surprised that this pub found its way into the 2020 Good Beer Guide, when only Doom Bar & Atlantic were on.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about Whistle & Flute
Formerly the Station Hotel, and naturally right by the railway, this twin-bar bar has been refurbished inside but still has quite a plain façade. The public bar is plainly furnished and decorated, and features a pool table, dartboard and two sports TV screens, whereas the lounge looks more like a restaurant with the tables all laid up for those dining. Three handpumps on each counter, with Doom Bar and Landlord (£3.50) available when I called in waiting for a train connection.
