The Mariner was a 70s built estate pub that was situated on the busy liverpool road.
Once inside this pub had two decent sized rooms with a smartish lounge and a more basic bar which was still a decent enough room,this is the room i had a drink in.
The pub was a Wilsons tied house and there was one real ale on the bar this was Wilsons bitter and this was quite a nice drink.
The pub was quite busy on my Saturday dinner visit and it had a decent friendly atmosphere.
Sadly this pub has been pulled down and there is nothing on its site yet.
