This is a detached pub that is heavily rendered in cream with two low level extensions (one on either side) in cream painted brick. You might not realise this was a pub other than for the wall sign and the canopies over the entrances. The interior has a couple of rooms, but as the lounge to the left was in darkness i went into the bar. The bar room is in white and wood panel, with a red and black tile floor. There is a pool table and a dart board and a few mirrors and a 'Rat Pack' picture are on the walls. There is a TV, which had Speedway on and there was no music. A plethora of security cameras means you can see what is happening outside too. Really friendly service and a few local were in, equally friendly - i felt quite comfy here. Beer; usual tap stuff with a decent Banks's MILD cask dispensed via an electronic pump. Whilst pure real ale fans would find nothing for their tastes, I really enjoyed my stop off here.
