This is still an area of grim industrial decline, but there are plans afoot for more flats etc in the area nearby. You enter into a large room with another room with a pool table to the rear. It's a little shabby these days as were the clientele. There were 6 handpumps but only two badged with Holts Mild & Bitter. I asked for a pint of the cask bitter and the barman said that they didn't have any as "the landlord can't be bothered keeping it properly". I ended up with a half of Holts smooth which was cold, fizzy and almost tasteless. This pub is a bit of a dump now and needs something to bring it back to life. I'd give it a miss if I were you.

The Hyde Park Corner was a pretty modern pub when i went in it,the pub was situated in a fairly grim area of industrial decline this has no doubt altered since my visit.
Once inside there were two rooms with a large smart lounge and a decent sized bar,i had a drink in the bar and i was happy enough in this room.
This pub is a Joseph Holt tied house and there were two real ales on the bar i had a drink of Holts bitter and this was a really nice drink the other beer was Holts mild.
This pub is still up and running and worth a visit in my opinion.
