Blue Scrumpy left this review about The Prestwick Pioneer (JD Wetherspoon)

Large and busy branch of Wetherspoon's on Prestwick's Main Street. It is located in the former Woolworth's store and is a typical 'spoon's open-plan layout with plenty of old pictures of Prestwick and the nearby international airport lining the walls.

A long bar can be found against the right-hand wall. Greene King Abbot is a regular ale. It looks like Sharp's Doom Bar is regular too. Guests were Purity Ubu, Hogsback TEA & Kirkby Londsale Radical. The cider was Weston's Old Rosie. I chose the Radical, which was a bitter in good condition. This appears to be the only pub in Prestwick where you can get real ale.

Aqualung . left this review about The Prestwick Pioneer (JD Wetherspoon)

This one is a fairly typical 21st Century shop conversion, a bit of an improvement on their identikit 1990s venues but still obviously once a shop. Predictably it's a long rectangular room and the bar is on the right.
The ten hand pumps had one available soon, Doom Bore doubled up, a cider, GK Abbot and five festival ales. I went for the Brewster's Hop Quest (£2.49 festival price) which was in good nick.
The standard guest ale price here of £2.49 is more expensive than other outlets but it's still a reasonable Spoons.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Prestwick Pioneer (JD Wetherspoon)

Plain-looking shop conversion from the outside, but this elongated 'spoons has an attractive light modern furniture and decor that goes some way to counteract the gloom once away from the front windows and rear skylight. A total of seven real ales and Old Rosie cider on offer from the two banks of five handpumps, and despite the inevitable Doom Bar and Abbot the rest of the beers were pretty interesting, including milds from Nethergate and Coach House, the Clydesdale IPA from Strathaven and two from Stewart Brewing: 80/- and the fine Saison des Pluies (£2.49).

Colin Walker left this review about The Prestwick Pioneer (JD Wetherspoon)

Situated in the former Woolworths building, it is now home to a JD Wetherspoon. Anyone who has been in other JD Wetherspoons will not find anything different here, albeit the place is very new and clean.
