Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Loft
Mix between a cocktail lounge and late DJ bar, with entrances at either end and opened out in the centre around the counter so the first-floor seating area looks more like a mezzanine. Only other feature of note is the pool table. No real ale, of course; with just a pedestrian range of draught beers and ciders, from which the Pravha (£2.30, half) looked the best bet.

Strongers . left this review about Loft Lounge and Bar
Tucked down a little used back street a stone’s throw from Eastbourne Railway Station is the Loft Lounge and Bar. I’ve been living in the area for some time now and I only chanced across it a few weeks ago after cutting through to avoid the high street. Signs out the front advise readers that the doors open at 10:00 and a reasonably priced lunch menu is served from midday until 15:00. Live music is played every Sunday from 20:00 until late and I imagine the music gets cranked up on a Friday and Saturday night.
The interior is very contemporary with a U shaped bar area where premium draught products can be purchased along with Guinness and cocktails/shooters. There are a couple of plasma screens that were showing muted rolling news and this isn’t a place that shows live sport via Sky. Free Wi-Fi is available and along the left hand wall are some charging points for phones and lap tops. Upstairs was closed during my visit, but I did pop up to take a leak and saw another bar and lots of booth seating that is available for free hire. Private functions are catered for in this area that overlooks the downstairs bar.
I was the only customer during my recent midweek afternoon visit so I cannot comment on the atmosphere, but the barman was very friendly and the back music inoffensive. This isn’t the sort of place I would be seen dead in at the weekend, but I’d have no problem returning for another midweek afternoon beer as I found it very relaxing.
