This is a detached corner hotel, with patio area. It is mainly in brick, but has a nice facade which is cottage-styled and cream painted brick, with black paintwork. A porched entrance is flanked by large rounded sash windows, with three sash windows on the upper storey, separated by a string course.
The interior has an L-shaped room in white and patterned wallpaper, with a few fake beams. There is a coffee and fake beam ceiling and a brown carpet. There are a couple of brick fireplaces and a few mirrors on the walls. The bar faces you on entry and to the left on there is a pool table and dart board. There is a TV, which had some BBC programme on and the background music was general at a decent level. The service was OK and the place was busy enough with a mixed local clientele.
Beer; usual tap stuff with a rather poor Batemans's XB on handpull.
A generic place really. It has the pub games and a real ale, albeit a little poor at my visit.
