Previously The Arts Cafe, this small L-shaped bar is part of the Komedia entertainment complex, and it has its own stage used for open mic nights, live acts and other entertainments. The bar itself faces you as you enter through the cinema-like doors, the room has wooden floors and there is a piano lurking around the corner. The staff were not great English speakers, and obtaining a pint of the one real ale on, Bath Gem, proved a challenge. Other drinks on offer were craft beers from Monterey and Werradi, plus Guiness, fruit ciders and premium lager. Prices were predictably high. There was vintage pop music on the stereo, and dog treats on the bar. The other clients were an arty bunch including the obligatory entitled cyclist who insisted bringing his wet bicycle into the bar. Not the best bar in Bath, but better than some, and not too shocking.
