Opening at 17:00 during the week, Elbow Room is a long and thin pool orientated sports bar that I visited just after opening on a recent Monday. The entrance leads to a split-level bar with two American style pool tables to the left that are encircled by banquettes and faced by televisions that show satellite sports. Down steps opposite the entrance is the bar area where the counter across the rear wall faces a sea of Coors sponsored small high round tables with stools. To the right of the bar area is a line of five standard pool tables that are overlooked by more televisions that were airing muted cricket whilst some decent background music from my era played. A large projector screen on the right-hand wall was off. Also at this far end is a table tennis table and two shuffleboard tables. Steps towards the right rear lead up to a dart room with multiple boards. The barman was extremely friendly, but the drinks selection of standard and premium keg will be of little interest to many on this site. However, I liked it in here and would use it regularly if I lived locally.
