Very good cask selection here. Four handpumps, four good choices of the Evan Evans Cwrw Haf, the Bluestone Rocketeer best bitter, the Weird Dad Brewery Winter Fuel Porter and the more oft seen Proper Job. Keg options of the Haze from Mumbles Brewery, Moretti, Brixton Coldharbour lager, Inch's, Neck Oil and Amstel.
Another Welsh Mountain inn today. Bit of a trek here on single track roads but well worth the effort. Some seating out the front but inside lovely stone flagstoned venue with log burner on right-hand wall in entrance with bar servery in the right-hand corner. Regular tables and chairs plus a dart board and TV, not switched on during my visit. Dead ahead from entrance is other side of bar counter with a couple of locals perched on stools. To the left of that was another room, all with low ceilings not occupied on my visit but can imagine would be busy at weekend. There was a small stage area in the corner suggesting some live acts here. This feels pretty unmodernised, not that far from Taffs Well but feels a world away.

A warm and friendly little pub built in the eighteenth century tucked away in Groes Wen Village. Real Ales, Real fire, real people and a real good feel. facilities include pool, darts, function room, Sky TV for matches. Anual Real Ale Beer festival in April. Quizez, Beer-Bellies club and music nights a regular thing.
